About the Role
We’re on the lookout for a proactive and professional HR Officer to join our Corporate Services team, based at our Head Office. In this role, you’ll provide end-to-end HR support across a designated portfolio of statesâpartnering closely with operational teams to deliver practical people solutions across the entire employee lifecycle.
About You
You'll bring sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and a proactive mindset to everything you do. With proven experience supporting the full employee lifecycle, you’ll be comfortable managing employee relations matters, guiding leaders through performance management processes, and providing practical, compliant HR advice.
Thriving in environments where no two days are the same, and you're confident working across multiple portfolios or states. You build trust quickly, communicate with clarity, and are known for your ability to remain calm and solutions-focusedâespecially when navigating sensitive conversations.
2â3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role, with hands-on involvement across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance support
Experience guiding frontline leaders through performance management processes, including drafting and implementing performance improvement plans (PIPs), and managing probation reviews
Demonstrated ability to respond to low-to-mid complexity ER issues, such as conduct concerns, attendance issues, and policy breaches, with a sound understanding of procedural fairness
Strong working knowledge of the Fair Work Act, NES, and Modern Awards, with confidence applying these to real-time workplace scenarios
Experience maintaining HRIS and personnel files, and producing reports related to compliance, contracts, onboarding, or employee movements
A collaborative, can-do approach with the ability to work autonomously, juggle competing priorities, and adapt quickly to change
